Project:

AB Mauri (ABM), a global company that supplies the food and baking industries with high-quality yeast and bakery ingredients, decided to move its headquarters from Chesterfield, Missouri, to the Cortex Innovation Community in the City of St. Louis. ABM wanted to publicize the relocation in baking industry trade publications and local media.

Strategy:

Although ABM has been in existence for more than 100 years, few local media outlets knew the company’s North America headquarters was located in St. Louis. BYRNE PR leveraged ABM’s relocation to reintroduce the company to local real estate and business media as an innovative and technology-driven baking-ingredient company that is moving to a technology hub. BYRNE PR offered the story in advance to the St. Louis Post-Dispatch, resulting in a feature story. The official relocation announcement took place at an onsite press event at Cortex and featured a special “bread-breaking” with ABM executives, local community and business leaders.
